Dear Parents/Guardians,
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu!
My name is Kiran Ayub and I am very excited to join the academic staff at Islamic Foundation School as of Monday, January 27th, 2014. I look forward to teaching Grade 3B for the rest of the 2013/2014 school year! I hope to establish a good rapport with your child and build a productive partnership with you which will ensure that your child can achieve their highest potential. The Grade 3 curriculum will entail building on and learning new and exciting concepts that will engage and challenge your child's academic, social and emotional growth, while reflecting on the core Islamic values will ensure their spiritual growth.
I would like to share my academic qualifications with you. I graduated from York University in 2009 with two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, with a Major in English Literature and Minor in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Education in the Primary/Junior Division with Distinction. I will ensure that your child feels comfortable with me for meaningful learning experiences. My goal as an educator is to encourage my students to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Insha Allah, I will be collaborating regularly with Sr. Aisha Malik, the Grade 3A teacher, to ensure an easy transition. Please check your child's agenda and sign it daily. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to communicate them to me in your child's agenda book. You will also receive a class newsletter at the end of each month. You are welcome to see me regarding your child by appointment, or you can email me your concerns at [email protected].
Best wishes as we embark on this learning journey together that ensures a balance between our deen and dunya, Insha Allah.
Jazak Allah Khair,
Sr. Kiran Ayub
